Dance Slow Decades is coming to the stage at Pacific University. Written by Kailea Saplan ’15 and inspired by the letters of Cheron (Messmer) Mayhall ’64, the play explores the lives of two Pacific University women living 50 years apart.
The play was featured in the Summer 2015 issue of Pacific magazine, after Saplan presented it as her senior project for her theatre major and staged a reading. This is the first time it will be performed as a play, though.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11, 12 and 13, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Feb. 14. Tickets are $5 to $8 and area available in advance online or by calling the Pacific University Box Office at 503-352-2918. The Feb. 11 performance will be followed by a question-and-answer session with cast and crew.
